The Internet is a great place to find visual and informational common threads, despite its vast landscape. Sometimes it takes a few of these connections before I make the decision to actually explore the person, place or thing I keep running into. The latest example of this phenomenon is with Carlo Van De Roer's photography. I first came across it on my wife's computer while she was showing me a print she wanted to buy on 20×200 (a great and affordable place to buy art). I really enjoyed the color and composition of the photos. The second place I saw Carlo's work was on the Beautiful Decay blog, although I didn't put the connection together that this was the same person I'd seen a few months earlier. The works on B/D had more graphic design work to them, with perfectly placed and colored circles positioned over a section of the photo. The third and final connection happened at But Does it Float - a great curated art site I've spoken about before. This final connection brought my prior experiences together and the light went off. So now I want to share his work here on my site, and hopefully I can be a connection for future fans of his work.
